Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Definition: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, more commonly known as CPR, is a lifesaving technique that is used in emergencies when someone’s heartbeat or breathing is stopped, in such instances as heart attack or near drowning.

Examples: The American Heart Association recommends that every innocent bystander be fit and able to preform CPR. Classes and certification programs for CPR are readily available in most communities.
