Example: Fiber can help with weight control because it adds bulk to your diet and will make you fee full faster. Having a normal amount of fiber in your diet can also help reduce cholesterol levels and stabilize sugar metabolism. Soluble fiber is found in oat bran, nuts, seeds, barley, beans, lentisl, peas, and some fruits and vegetables, attracks water during digestion which turns it into a gel. Insoluble fiber is found in foods such as vegetables, whole grains, and wheat bran and adds bulk to the stool.
