Does Advanced Cardio Services provide INR Testing for People in San Diego? It would be convenient for anyone that lives in San Diego to have their supplies delivered directly to their home.

And… would this home delivery service allow a person testing their INR levels to stop going to the usual clinic for testing?

I have AARP Medicare Supplement Plan F – They cover everything and I don’t have to pay any out of pocket. Really makes things easy. Don’t get tricked into signing up for a Medicare “Replacement Plan” you end up with no options and cruddy service.

I just started on with Medicare in July and wanted to see what supplemental insurance Patrick has that covers 100% of home INR testing?

I live in North County San Diego and couldn’t be happier with the service that Advanced Cardio Services provides me with! I have Medicare and a supplemental plan that covers 100% of this service so I can test my INR once a week from home or when I travel. The first week I was supposed to test on my own following a training with a lovely nurse I just couldn’t get a result. I guess I didn’t pay as much attention to the training as I should have. I called ACS and since I live in San Diego they invited to just stop by their office in Carlsbad for some pointers. A nice gentleman instantly identified that I was applying the blood too soon and helped me with my technique. I made sure to pay attention and have not had a single error testing in over 10 months! And to boot I never have to go down and wait for my results at the lab any more! I just wish my doctor told me about this sooner.

My doctor’s office wanted me to use a company called Philips, they make tv’s and stuff too, but it took them over 3 weeks to even contact me. I found out that they are located somewhere on the East Coast and decided to look for someone closer. I called around and found out that that Advanced Cardio Services is located right in San Diego and actually had a real live person answer the phone! Once I contacted them they were able to get a prescription from my doctor, verify with my Blue Shield insurance that I would be covered, and got me set up with a trainer all in the same week! I was very impressed with the nice gal that answered the phone and how quickly they were able to get me a CoaguChek meter. Life has been so much easier not worrying about if I am in range or not and I am looking forward to being able to take my first long vacation since I was put on Coumadin in 2010!

Yes, Advanced Cardio Services provides patients with the ability to test their INR at home with the CoaguChek XS home monitor manufactured by Roche Diagnostics. The service is not only provided for people locally in San Diego County but nation wide. Supplies are delivered monthly directly to the patients home after personal patient contact to update any information that may have changed including address, phone number and insurance information. Home testing is done on a weekly basis which may eliminate the necessity to visit the lab for blood draws any longer. This may vary depending upon patients physicians order. Home testing requires patients to test weekly but if more frequent testing is necessary, most patient insurances will pay for additional lab draws. For more information you may contact Advanced Cardio Services directly 1-866-416-8989.
